DUCATI SPORTCLASSIC
The bike used in TRON: Legacy opening scene where Sam Flynn evades a highway patrol on his way to the ENCOM Tower.
Production halted last 2009, to which was the supposed year of TRON: Legacy’s release until it was moved to 2010. The movie was supposed to boost the SportClassic’s sales with its placement in the movie (the bike has low sales compared to what was expected since it release). The bike went unappreciated over the years until the movie highlighted it.
To date, collectors and enthusiast look for and is lining up for 2nd hand/pre-owned/pre-loved SportClassic in Ducati dealers and bike dealers a like. Some say there are queues exceeding 10+ per dealer lining up to get one from those who would sell their SportClassic.
